"To put it anachronistically..."
I knew what "anachronistic" meant (thank you Kaplan), but I never really knew where to use it. I think this phrase is great for trying to explain something to someone ... like the example below:
"To put it anachronistically, they wielded, all by themselves, executive, legislative, and judicial authority. " (talking about ancient Kings of Israel).
Cool huh?
